Bahamas Bird Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival, settle into cabins

  • Day 2: Explore islands off Andros, birding and snorkeling

  • Day 3: Birding in the islands pine forest and a visit to Blue Hole National Park

  • Day 4: Birding in the Attala Coppice and South Coppice areas around Small Hope Bay

  • Day 5: Land trips to BARC and BAMSI area as well as Owens Town

  • Day 6: Birding in the mangroves and tidal flat areas of the island with some relaxing island floating

  • Day 7: Birding ‘Big Day’ where the group tries to record as many species as possible while traveling around the island, including the Bahamian settlement of Red Bays.

At the end of each day come back to the Field Station and enjoy our beachfront property. Gather around the campfire to enjoy stories from your excursions, walk down to the ice cream shop for a treat, kayak or snorkel off the shore.

Bahamas Bird Tour Accommodations

Our location for the Bird Tour in The Bahamas trip is at Forfar Field Station, Andros Island. Our Field Station is a rustic former dive resort nestled on a beachfront coconut grove on the east coast of the island. Our cabins are rustic and each cabin has 3-4 sets of bunk beds, electricity, fans, and a private bathroom with hot water and a shower. WIFI is available in our lodge for all guests.
